Prerona Asoni Assam 2025 – ₹300 Monthly Stipend for 10th Class Students

The Government of Assam, Department of School Education, has announced a new scheme called “Prerona Asoni” to provide support to students appearing for HSLC Examination under ASSEB (Div-I) and 10th Board Examination under CBSE of Adarsha Vidyalaya. Eligible students will get a monthly stipend of ₹300 for the financial year 2025–2026.

Guidelines of the Prerona Asoni Assam Scheme

Background:

Students preparing for HSLC and 10th Board exams face academic expenses.
To encourage better preparation, each student will be given ₹300 per month.

Objectives:

Provide academic support for study materials, books, and nutritious food.
Reduce dropout rates, especially in poor and rural areas.
Boost confidence, mental health, and morale of students.
Improve overall pass percentage in Class 10 exams.
Increase enrollment in Govt./Provincialised Schools and Adarsha Vidyalayas.

Scope of Applicability:

Grant available for all students appearing under ASSEB (Div-I) & CBSE (Adarsha Vidyalaya), regardless of school.
Students must attend classes regularly, respect rules, and behave properly.
Misconduct like cheating, ragging, or vandalism will cancel benefits.
All eligible domiciled students of Assam can apply, irrespective of economic status.

Eligibility Criteria:

All students appearing in HSLC under ASSEB (Div-I) and 10th Board under CBSE of Adarsha Vidyalaya.

Amount:

Each student gets ₹300/month, i.e., ₹1800 for six months.

Application Process for Prerona Asoni

Students must fill an application form with bank details and submit it to their school.
Form filling dates: 1st September to 30th September 2025.
Headmasters/Principals will verify and upload data.
Each school will appoint 1–2 nodal teachers for implementation.
Guardians can decide whether to apply or not.
Schools must inform authorities about students opting out.
Existing beneficiaries must reapply with correct details.

Payment Mode:

Payment will be made via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the student’s bank account.
Implementation begins 1st November 2025.
