Assam Career: The Directorate of Elementary Education, DEE Assam has announced the opening of 10,673 Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Teacher positions across the state. This initiative aims to strengthen and improve the quality of elementary education in Assam.
The move follows Government approval vide eFile No. 532785 dated 28/10/2025 under the Assam Elementary Education (Provincialisation) (Amendment) Rules–2025.

Eligibility Conditions
- Applicants must be currently serving as Contractual or State Pool Teachers under Samagra Shiksha Assam (SSA) as on 30th September 2025.
- A minimum of three years of continuous service under SSA as of the same date is required.
- Candidates must hold academic and professional qualifications as per NCTE norms and existing Government rules.
- Applications must be submitted for the same category of post currently held under SSA.
